The Company
Nigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working exclusively with a leading manufacturer and employer of choice to recruit an Indirect Commodity Manager.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working (3 days on site) plus excellent opportunities for personal development and progression.

The Opportunity
Reporting into Senior Management, the Indirect Commodity Manager will manage multi-site Indirect spend and will be assigned a specific category portfolio.

Key responsibilities:
  • Driving and implementing category strategy
  • Market research, conducting full tenders and analysis, resourcing/retendering, contract negotiation and award
  • Project management and new supplier sourcing 
  • Supplier performance management 
  • Building cross functional collaborative relationships internally and externally 
  • Reviewing opportunities to implement global contracts with other plants

About You
You will have/be:
  • Proven strategic procurement track record across Indirects ideal
  • Strong supplier relationship management, tender management, contract negotiation, new sourcing
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – confident to challenge both internally and externally
  • Strong communication skills, adept at building relationships quickly
  • Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Proactive, assertive, confident decision maker with a hands-on, can do attitude - quick learner, able to demonstrate commercial acumen, are dynamic, open minded 
  • Diligent, efficient, strong prioritisation skills – able to deliver to deadline
