Independent Financial Adviser - Leeds

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus and Benefits

Working hours: 9am to 5:30pm

We are delighted to be working with this Yorkshire based Wealth Management firm. A fast growing practice providing fully independent and straightforward financial advice.

Due to growth, this is an opportunity for a dynamic, level 4 qualified Financial Adviser with advising experience looking to make the next step in their career to join the team.

Full paraplanning and client support services provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace to ensure up-to-date knowledge.
  • Strictly comply with the Compliance and Training and Competence Procedures of the firm, as well as adhere to the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the FCA Principles, Rules, and the Code of Practice for Approved Persons.
  • Proactively identify and reach out to potential clients. Gather comprehensive client information and identify their specific needs.
  • Research and Recommendation: Analyse gathered information and conduct thorough research to formulate suitable recommendations for clients.
  • Complete all supporting documentation with precision and accuracy.
  • Attain and sustain competent status as defined by the FCA and the firm.
  • Maintain performance standards in accordance with those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators section of the Training and Competence procedures.
  • Identify Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs through self-assessment and feedback. Undertake appropriate activities to meet those needs, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of competent status.
  • Provide mentorship and training to the Adviser Team, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.

Experience

  • Demonstrated substantial experience providing financial advice and achieving/exceeding relevant KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to identify and engage with potential clients, coupled with a track record of gathering comprehensive client information and understanding their unique needs.
  • The capability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
  • The ability to establish strong relationships with clients.
  • A background in conducting thorough research and analysis to make suitable recommendations based on client needs and market conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing supporting documentation.

Desirable Experience

  • Demonstrated substantial experience providing financial advice and achieving/exceeding relevant KPIs.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and training Adviser Teams, contributing to the development of skills and knowledge within the team.
  • A history of successful networking and relationship-building with business partners, key stakeholders and other industry professionals.
  • Experience in implementing effective client retention strategies, fostering long-term relationships and maximising client satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (Essential)
  • Level 6 Diploma in Financial Planning (Desirable)

  • Detailed knowledge of FCA and the firm’s record keeping requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Client focused with excellent time management and organisation skills.
