Your new company:
We are looking to recruit passionate and motivated IDVA'S to provide person-centred support to victims of domestic abuse who are high risk within South Wales. We provide emergency accommodation and drop in centres to those who are victims of domestic abuse and offer a range of services and support plans.
Your new role:
You will be working closely to the victims and will be given a case load. You will be trained to assess the risk of victims and act as a primary point of contact for those at risk. You will be working along side the police force, working to provide the best possible service to males and females at risk or victims of abuse. You will be required to develop safety plans and provide short to long term support to victims, whilst carrying out risk assessments. Supporting victims through the CJS process and supporting them with procedures, civil and housing options.
Typical shifts will be:
37 hours:9-5 Monday-Thursday 9-4:30 Friday
You will be on call once every 17 days.
What you'll need to succeed:
Experience in domestic violence is desired but not necessary, however, experience in the police force, teaching or social housing is very valued. All training is provided and IDVA qualification will be gained at the end of the training, once qualified the salary increases. Basic experience and knowledge of relevant legislation relating too domestic abuse is essential within this role.
What you'll get in return:
Salary: £23,500 if unqualified (raising to £25,750 once qualified)
