We are currently partnered with a housing provider based in Wales who are looking for a Income Recovery Officer. This role is a Fixed Term Contract lasting for 12 months and is paying up to £33,000 per annum.

The role offers hybrid work, with 4 days working from home.

A brief of the role is below, to apply candidates must have access to a car and have a valid driving license as well as a Basic DBS.

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers and colleagues, handling a wide range of income related calls and queries from residents
  • Undertake all aspects of income recovery, court case work presentation and debt recovery case work, in accordance with current procedures, making sure that all other avenues have been exhausted
  • To ensure efficient and effective service delivery in accordance with the principles of best practice, helping tenants maximise their income and prioritise their debts and promoting contract sustainability
  • Address all cases of debt in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures, providing a fair and equitable service that takes account of the individual services and protects the organisations income
  • To ensure that the Income Recovery service complies with relevant legislation, good practice and regulatory requirements
  • To liaise and maintain good working relationships with all relevant external agencies, private landlords and the Landlord and to ensure residents experiencing difficulties are referred appropriately for support
  • Provide appropriate advice and support on all aspects of payment, including advice for Housing benefit/Universal Credit
  • To liaise and work productively and proactively with the internal support coaches providing and delivering an inclusion service as required
