In-house Indirect Tax Manager Part Time

We are looking for a highly technical indirect tax manager to join a global education provider on a part-time hybrid basis with bi-weekly visits to their London office.

The company

Our client is a leading education provider; running 80 schools across the world and partnering with 150+ universities and professional bodies to attract students from 120 countries.

They operate in a wide range of markets often with complex regulatory environments so strong financial management is needed to support their fast paced development.

The role

This is a great opportunity for a technically minded Indirect tax professional to join a successful multi-national education brand.

This international role will see you become part of a motivated team that reports directly to the Head of Group Tax. You'll be responsible for preparing VAT and sales tax returns and providing technical advice across the business.

It's a broad ranging role that will require you to maintain full compliance with UK and overseas tax laws (initially in the UK, Ireland and UAE) whilst minimising the company's liabilities.

It's a cross-functional role where excellent people skills will be crucial. And you'll need to be technically solid too so that you can represent tax across the business in the strongest sense.

This is a part time hybrid role, with fortnightly travel to London Bridge required.

About you

• Experienced indirect tax specialist, familiar with relevant UK accounting standards and US GAAP.
• Understanding of overseas taxes and withholding taxes.
• Ability to clearly and confidently communicate in verbal and written forms
• Qualified or studying towards CTA/ATT/ACA would be advantageous.
