Import Clerk

The position we are seeking to fill is for an Operations Clerk to complement our dedicated team & the role presents a great opportunity to join a small, hands-on team, with the scope of learning multi-modal, including cross-trade operations.

Previous experience in working with a smaller sized business in either Air or Ocean Imports is essential

Our operating system we work with is BoxTop, which is an access-based system & well known throughout the Freight Forwarding sector. Prior experience of this would be advantageous but not essential as full training would be given.

The completion of both import & export entries is presently done via Descartes, however as we’ll be moving to ASM Sequoia in June of this year previous experience of ASM Sequoia is essential.

The successful candidate would be expected to handle a job from start to finish, so quoting, arranging transport & raising files, including the placing of costs onto both the file & BoxTop system for our multi-modal shipments by Air, Sea, Road & Courier.

We are seeking a well-mannered, with good interpersonal skills individual that can both work well on their own initiative & as well as within a team.

The successful candidate must be able to drive as on occasions running documentation/freight over to the airport will be required.

Starting salary negotiable, dependant on experience.

A company laptop & mobile would also be provided.

Our business hours are Monday-Friday 09:00hrs - 17:30hrs, however during peak periods/holiday cover additional hours would be expected to be covered.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 but will consider more depending on experience.
