This Operations Manager job in Newcastle provides opportunity for an experienced Financial Services professional to be a first line leader within their operations function.

As Operations Manager, you will be focused on ensuring the team provide excellent service to both clients and their Financial Advisers. Your duties will include:

  • Spending 3 days a week visiting offices within your management, so that you can spend time in person with your team members
  • Manage all agreed administration aspects for their Financial Advisers as per agreed SLAs, ensuring consistency across the business
  • Ensure the offices are staffed sufficiently at all times, taking holidays, working from home into account
  • Identify and manage development needs of individuals and/or the team and agree SMART training plans
  • Manage individual performance through agreed plans, working closely with HR and Senior Management
  • Responsible for coaching and training new and existing team members
  • Assist and support with recruitment

Operations Manager requirements

  • You should have previous experience with Financial Services (preferably a national financial planning firm)
  • You must have team management experience and have successfully undertaken performance management and quality / efficiency improvement
  • You should be open to new ideas and be an advocate of a growth and learning culture
  • You should have ability to work under time pressure on high profile issues

They are currently on a rapid growth phase of the business, with already £4.5bn of AuM, which will continue to grow. Operations Manager Benefits

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000
  • Plus company benefits (subject to change) including: 4x DIS, PMI, Group IP, employee assistance programme, medicash, 5% pension (matched up to 10%), 10% discretionary annual bonus based on company performance
  • 24 days + 8 bank holidays, entitlement will rise 1 day per calendar year of service, up to a maximum of 30 days for each additional year
  • Full-time role (37.5 hours per week)
  • Your main base office will be Newcastle with travel required to the other offices under your management
