Hydraulic Technician

Hydraulic Technician, Glasgow, 6 months FTC, potential to go Permanent, up to £30k pa (pro rata)

My Client, a well established, leading national business in their niche in the construction hire industry, is urgently seeking a Hydraulic Technician to work as an EMV (Excavator Mounted Vibrating) Hammer Fitter, based at their depot North East of Glasgow.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure this vital equipment is in top condition, allowing customer's construction projects to run smoothly and safely.

This is a Monday to Friday role. Your weekends are your own!

What You'll Do

• Inspect, test, and maintain all EMV hammers for optimal performance.
• Install EMV hammers onto excavators, ensuring correct operation.
• Uphold strict Health and Safety standards in all work processes.
• Operate work equipment and drive vehicles as needed.
• Prepare and paint equipment to company standards.

What You'll Need

• Essential:
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a groundworks or construction environment
  • 1+ years of hydraulic testing experience
  • Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license
  • Full UK Driving Licence
• Desirable:
  • Experience using EMV hammers
  • Relevant Health & Safety certifications (CSCS, CPCS, etc.)
  • Skills in welding or using power tools

Initially this is a 6 month fixed term contract, although my Client hopes to be in a position for the role to turn permanent....
