Job Description: Hydraulic press machine operator

Duration: Temp to perm

Location: HItchin

Hours: Mon -Fri 8-5pm + 8-1pm on Friday  = 39 hours

Main duties:

1. To run hydraulic  machines and produce materials according to the Company’s standards

2. Be aware of scheduling requirements and work to meet targets

3. Production operations including assembly and use of industrial equipment and hand tools

4. Operating small and hydraulic presses and overseeing setups after training.

5. Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet established standards

6. Responsible for setting tooling and correcting all faults, reporting more significant faults or defects to Team leader and cleaning equipment and surrounding area when necessary.

7. To report potential quality issues to Team Leader

8. To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures

9. To report any unsafe acts or Health, Safety and Environmental incident

Relevant Experience:


Minimum of 1 years experience within a component production environment.

Experience of setting up relevant machines appropriate to the requirements of the job.

Aptitude , skills and abilities:

• Proven knowledge of operation of relevant Component Production machines;

• Knowledge of production Inspection procedures & standards;

• Good understanding of H&S requirements relating to component production machines;

• Good understanding of technical drawings

• Problem solving skills;

• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively at all levels within the Company;

• IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data. Personal attributes
