Twickenham Services Ltd are currently looking for a full-time Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer to join our dynamic and dedicated team. You will have at least 2 years’ experience in the air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration field and candidates must have relevant and up to date qualifications (ie. F-Gas).

You'll be required to carry out AC servicing, cooling unit breakdowns and repairs to homes in and around the Richmond Upon Thames Borough and be able to assist at times with other service trades such as electrical, gas, and plumbing (prerequisite knowledge of these services is not essential and this is an opportunity for engineers to learn new trades).

Tasks to include:

  • Competently undertaking multi-trade servicing, repair and installation works in accordance with current F-Gas Regulations and internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with appliance and system installations.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance checks/services on systems and equipment.
  • Wiring central heating systems.
  • Repairing and installing ac controls.
  • Testing controls and safety devices of AC and refrigeration systems for fault finding.
  • Finding and repairing AC and refrigeration leaks using computerised fault-finding equipment.
  • Replacing and repairing faulty AC appliances
  • Installing / repairing cooling system pipework.

Skills:

Each engineer should be able to work independently as well as part of a team. We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about the trade and employs good workmanship, taking pride in all aspects of the work. You must be able to work well under pressure and be open to working with the team on commercial and domestic projects.

You will be expected to report to the lead engineers and office via a job management software, updating the team throughout the day on the progress of each job. You will be required to create reports upon client requests and relay information on-site about air conditioning and refrigeration to customers. Liaising confidently in a professional manner is crucial.

This is a full time role, working 47.5 hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through emergency call-outs and overtime when required. Engineers are expected to travel to various locations around London however our main area of operation is within the Richmond-upon-Thames radius.

Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and be confident with driving a company van. This role is subject to a satisfactory license check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure.
