Are you a Humanities Teacher and looking to work on a temporary basis? 

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a Humanities Teacher to fulfil a long term booking within a large Secondary School based in Havant, up to the end of the Summer Term. This is a temporary role, covering absence four days a week (Monday to Thursday).

The school is a large education centre based within Havant, who support pupils with catered teaching and learning to attain to the best of their ability. At the school, they believe that every pupil will be able to have a clear pathway for future education, and all thoughts, feelings and opinions are considered in all that they do. They also cater the delivery of lesson content to the pupils within the assigned classes, ensuring that all pupils are responding to the content at their personal best.

For this role, you will be the cover Humanities Teacher, supporting the delivery of the subject with small assigned classes within the school. You will have an adaptable and patient teaching method, and be open to working with pupils to ensure needs are met at the best you possibly can. You will have excellent communication, and deliver content effectively, working with the department, support staff and Senior team, and be supportive with your pupils.

The salary for this role is set between £130-190 per day, and will be Monday to Thursday starting after Easter, up to the end of the term. The school can be flexible and offer Tuesday to Thursday if preferred.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Excellent communication and patience

- Ability to adapt your teaching and delivery to pupils dependant on their attainment

- Passionate about working with pupils who may need extra support

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - this can be obtained through Reed

- Qualified Teacher Status with degree in Humanities subject or equivalent

- Be available as soon as possible for 3/4 days per week.
