Hours: Monday to Thursday 8-4:30pm and Friday 8-1:30pm

The Opportunity
Joining a long-established manufacturer of high-quality, low-maintenance pumps – from small, portable construction pumps to ten-tonne wastewater pumps. For over 60 years the business has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to a high level of vertical integration and energy-efficient solutions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for their next pivotal hire, managing all aspects of Health, Safety, Quality and Environment.
Our Ideal Candidate
At this stage in your career, you will have a demonstrable background within a HSQE role, we are looking for someone who makes decisions that ensure the outcomes are right first time. You will be comfortable driving change whilst developing and implementing effective business strategies. Other skills we are looking to evidence:
- NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent
- CQI Certificate in Quality Management or equivalent
- Internal Auditor certification
- Experience as a HSQE Manager in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO9001, 14001, 18001/45001
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Passionate about HSQE.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Establish, implement, and maintain processes for the Management System (MS)
- Maintain and achieve company accreditations and audits as agreed
- Manage the HSQE system to improve the company's Achilles Verify rating
- Strategize and coordinate continuous improvement of HSQE management programmes and systems
- Ensure products or services meet the highest quality standards and maintain safe working conditions
- Report MS performance and improvement needs to management
- Liaise with external assessment bodies for accreditation processes
- Implement new or existing HSQE-related legislation and company standards
- Provide HSQE guidance and statutory compliance advice
- Proactively integrate HSQE considerations in operational project stages
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend improvements
- Develop risk and improvement strategies at the divisional level
- Stay updated on industry legislation and best practices
- Raise HSQE and sustainability awareness and deliver related training
- Manage internal audits and routine Health & Safety inspections
- Chair HSQE committees and review meetings
- Manage HSQE objectives, risk assessments, business continuity, and emergency preparedness plans
- Oversee Supplier Approval Process and company Improvement System
