Are you an HSE Advisor seeking your next role? Our client is a well-respected manufacturer in the Salisbury area, supplying globally. They are seeking an HSE Advisor to join their established friendly team with the HSE Advisor working closely with multiple departments to ensure legal compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation and Law. The HSE Advisor will complete risk assessments, identify training requirements and any supporting elements required. The ideal HSE Advisor will be experienced and want to continually develop with training to ensure compliance.

Salary: £30,000- £38,000
Shifts: Monday – Friday 8.00am-4.00pm (early finish Fridays)

Prime Responsibilities
  • Ensure legal compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and law.
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed
  • Identify H & S and Environmental training requirements and implement a detailed training plan.
  • Ensure accident reporting is completed correctly including RIDDOR, monitor accidents and review trends.
  • Chair monthly Health and Safety Committee Meetings
  • Carry out new starters site inductions and set up online training.
  • Maintain and improve the companies Environmental Management System.
  • Compile by the 5th working day of the month a detailed H & S and Environmental report at Board level.
  • Ensure the company is kept updated for requirements and legislation.
  • Identify and recommend Environmentally friendly initiatives including cost / benefit analysis.
  • Carry out major incident simulation at least twice a year and review procedures to ensure they are adequate.

General Responsibilities
  • Participate in team meetings as required.
  • Conform to Company health & safety, environmental and personnel procedures.

Essential skills and experience:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate along with experience of undertaking a similar role in a manufacturing, engineering or warehouse and logistics setting.
  • Confident to lead meetings, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PUWER regulations is desirable
  • Ideally experience with Environmental disciplines, but this can come with training / development
