My client is a not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Assistant/Officer to join their team at the Head Office near Quinton. In this vital role, you will be the face of HR - providing exceptional service and support to colleagues across the business. Working within a small team you will be the initial HR point of contact, you'll handle all employee inquiries with professionalism and expertise.

This busy and varied role will entail:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process including posting roles, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks
  • Coordinating with hiring managers to understand position requirements and candidate needs
  • Oversee the applicant tracking system and candidate communications
  • Issuing offer letters and manage onboarding process for new hires
  • Employee Relations
  • Administer employee offboarding process including exit interviews
  • Provide guidance to managers/employees on HR policies and employment law
  • Handle employee relations issues such as grievances, performance management, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS

HR Administration & Learning & Development

  • Act as main point of contact for outsourced HR provider and Payroll, etc.
  • Calculate payroll changes, process payroll data, and ensure accurate pay
  • Oversee HR systems and DBS checks
  • Compile HR reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, training, etc.
  • Manage the training system and reporting on employee training completion

The successful candidate will be an HR professional with a proven track record of handling HR generalist responsibilities with excellence. Experience within a generalist HR role with exposure to ER would be beneficial.
