As an integral member of the People team, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and support in all aspects of employee relations (ER), cultural integration, and change management initiatives and projects. This role requires confidence in ER case management, adeptness during cultural change, and the ability to drive positive change in a highly unionised environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organisational goals and objectives.
- Manage and resolve ER cases effectively and efficiently, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees with minimal assistance.
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations by developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate within a highly unionised environment, ensuring compliance and fostering positive relationships with union representatives.
- Drive a positive culture amidst organisational changes, supporting employees through transitions and promoting a culture of resilience and adaptability.
- Implementing initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Serve as the main support and sounding board for the Head of HR, assisting in strategic decision-making and execution of the people agenda.
- Building strong partnerships with business leaders and managers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Analysing HR data to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrate reliability, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic in all aspects of the role.
- CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified or gained the equivalent HR experience.
- Proven experience in ER case management and providing HR advice and guidance independently.
- Strong understanding of unionised environments and experience in navigating union relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving positive cultural change.
- Previous experience in leadership or management roles preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness, and a proactive approach to work.
