Foxgroves are delighted to partner with Pirelli again to recruit another experienced and passionate HR Business Partner for their Carlisle site on a permanent full time basis. Following a recent recruitment drive, Pirelli is actively seeking an additional HR Business Partner to accommodate the department's growth alongside natural attrition.

Pirelli are a global leader in tyre manufacturing and are seeking an exceptional HR Business Partner to join their well established HR team in Carlisle.

Role Overview:

As an HR Business Partner, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the operations in Carlisle. You'll be responsible for implementing and overseeing HR policies and procedures, fostering a culture of fairness, respect, and collaboration across the organisation. Collaborating closely with managers and employees, you'll provide guidance on various HR activities, including resource planning, recruitment, talent management, engagement, and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR matters, including disciplinary processes, absence management, and employee relations.
  • Partner with production and technical teams to drive organisational success through strategic recruitment solutions and employee development initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor HR administrators and colleagues, supporting their personal and professional development.
  • Serve as a point of contact for complex HR policy questions and manage disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes.
  • Collaborate with trade unions to drive the change agenda and address day-to-day operational matters.
  • Implement strategic People & Organization Plan initiatives to add value to both the business and employees.
  • Act as an ambassador for the HR Business Partner model, driving up standards and highlighting its benefits to all staff and managers.

Training and Development:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate training & development activities according to local needs and company strategy.
  • Manage relationships with external training providers and ensure training plans align with Pirelli standards.
  • Evaluate training and development programs, revise as necessary to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Produce training materials and deliver training programs as needed.
  • Manage training data, records, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Education and Professional Background:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with full/part CIPD membership - essential.
  • Experience in a complex international company is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in case management/employee relations is essential.
  • Excellent influencing skills with previous experience consulting with trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Minimum intermediate level skills in all Microsoft software.
  • Project management and organisational skills.

Professional Aptitude:

  • Proactive in responding to customer requirements and delivering results.
  • Capable of analysing data and synthesising results to underpin business decisions.
  • Ability to find creative and appropriate solutions, working with both people and technology.

Additional Information:

  • This role requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work beyond these hours when necessary.
  • The business offers a smart working policy and offers this role o n a hybrid basis 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
  • Salary for this role is £40,000 per annum.
