People & Organisational Development Partner (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £55,683+ per annum

Location: Flexible, with at least 40% of working time on site in Stratford, London

Job Type: Full-time, 6-month FTC (maternity cover)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a People & Organisational Development Partner to join our team at a pivotal moment in their journey. As they continue to build on the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games, they are looking for a passionate individual who can contribute to the ongoing development and regeneration of the area around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This role is integral to their People and Organisation Development Team, and we are committed to reflecting the diverse communities we serve in East London.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Partner with senior operational colleagues and managers across designated areas to provide robust people solutions as part of the new world as they go through their transformation.
  • Support the Head of People & OD in defining business cases and operationalising proposed solutions.
  • Support with Consultations across the organisation as part of Phase 2 of their transformation
  • Manage small to medium scale projects and support the delivery of strategic people initiatives aligned with the People Strategy
  • Lead on organisational change activities, including restructures and TUPE processes.
  • Provide proactive case management and employment relations support. Analyse people data and MI to inform key decision-making and present reports on People issues.
  • Develop knowledge and capability within senior management teams and support managers in their people management responsibilities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the People function, representing the team internally and externally.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • People and Organisational Development Partnering experience within public sector organisations
  • CIPD is desirable - but not essential 
  • Robust generalist HR experience with a track record of delivering inclusive and effective people-focused solutions.
  • Experience in managing people-related change, including redundancy and TUPE.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practice in people management. Ability to manage complex employment relations casework.
  • Experience in analysing and providing insights from people data and MI. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an understanding of the value of diverse teams and inclusive practices. Benefits:
