  • Drive the recruitment and induction process, ensuring it embeds the CIWM way.
  • Maintain employee relations and identify areas of improvement.
  • Provide a comprehensive HR service to the leadership and management team.
  • Drive the training and development agenda and identify areas of need.
  • Undertake any other such appropriate duties as required by your line manager.

Expected experience and competencies we would like to see from you:

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with employees, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You will need to be empathetic, approachable, and skilled in building rapport to effectively address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster positive relationships.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law: A solid understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations is essential, preferably CIPD qualified.
  • Organisational and Administrative Skills: You must be well-organised and detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Given the dynamic nature of HR and organisational needs, HR Advisors should be adaptable and able to respond effectively to changes, whether they are related to policies, procedures, or workforce dynamics.
  • Confidentiality: You will often deal with sensitive information, so maintaining confidentiality and discretion is critical.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data related to HR metrics, employee feedback, and performance evaluations is important for making informed decisions and improving HR processes over time.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HR software and systems for managing employee records is desirable.

Always aim to have a positive mindset and, where challenge is needed, to do so respectfully and constructively. Be mindful and considerate of the pressures and deadlines we all face, offering support and checking in with each other. Have the belief that you can succeed by being solutions-focused and persevere even when things get tough. Look forward, embrace feedback, act with honesty and integrity in everything you do and have fun!
