Overview

We believe it’s crucial for Metis HR employer clients to have employment contracts and HR policy documentation that are not only legally compliant but also offer safeguards and commercial options. This allows colleagues in our wider HR team to provide high quality, pragmatic and efficient advice to our clients.

As a Contract and HR Policy Specialist at Metis HR you will work closely with new and existing clients to gain a thorough understanding of their contract and employee handbook needs. The documentation you produce will closely meet the clients’ specific requirements but more importantly reflect current employment law.

Your commitment to service delivery, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a supportive team mindset are crucial. Comfortably engaging with clients remotely and over the phone about their contracts and handbooks is essential. Responsibilities

  • Conduct effective client consultations to establish client need in relation to contracts of employment and HR policies
  • Manage the contract and handbook development process from initial client consultation to final sign-off
  • Collaborate effectively with HR Consultants to develop revised contracts and handbooks for existing employer clients.
  • Monitor changes in employment law and the regulatory environment to provide timely updates for clients and the wider Metis team.
  • Support the HR team in implementing legal changes into HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for HR Consultants in drafting settlement agreements as necessary.

Personal Specification

  • HR experience and/or qualifications particularly within employment law
  • Legal HR Experience, Paralegal or Consultancy based experience.
  • Knowledgeable, tactful, and diplomatic, with an eye for detail
  • Commercially aware, able to work economically and think on their feet
  • An excellent communicator both in writing and verbally

***This position is a Hybrid Position following successful probationary period. It is essential you are flexible and able to be in the Stacksteads office at least twice a week***

The office has 2 dogs that are ever-present and is spread over 2 floors.

  • Salary Pro Rata £30,000-£35,000
  • 25 days leave per year (Pro Rata) + bank Holidays. (33days)
