HR Administrator / Assistant
30 hours per week at £12 per hour. On site working in Burton Upon Trent.
Purpose: This role supports the implementation of HR practices, policies and procedures which are aimed at maintaining a safe, positive environment, as well as the recruitment and ongoing development of the workforce.
Duties:
- Provide support to the Human Resources Manager with all administrative related tasks including compiling letters, documents and other information for the human resources activities
- Take responsibility for the co-ordination of the on-boarding process including induction, references, right to work, DBS documentation and probationary periods with manager.
- Provide support to managers and colleagues on day to day queries ensuring the Human Resources Manager is aware of any matters requiring action or escalation.
- Liaise with occupational health provider as and when required
- Assist with the planning and implementation of learning and development events
- Support senior staff as note taker
- Collect data regarding sickness information, annual leave and training
- Hold responsibility for data entry and produce regular and ad-hoc reporting
- Administer an annual data cleansing exercise.
- Deal with telephone & email enquiries.
- To undertake ad-hoc duties as required
- Maintain an efficient filing system.
Requirments
- Develop & keep good relationships with staff and service users and be able to clearly communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and make use of agreed supervision time. Be organised, proactive and work to deadlines
- Demonstrate a full range of administration skills
- Operate in a non-judgemental manner and knowledge of relevant legislation in all activities.
- Have the ability to make decisions whilst understanding when to refer to specialist support within the organisation and communicate with team members
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- To hold a full UK Driving Licence
- Be willing to undertake any necessary training identified
- Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role
