A London borough in South West London is looking to recruit an interim Housing Transformation Manager until the end of the year.

Hours: 36 hours per week, minimum of two days on-site a week

Day Rate: £600 through an umbrella company

Daily duties:

  • Play a pivotal role in overseeing and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at improving housing services within the local authority
  • Responsible for leading transformational projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
  • Driving innovation to enhance housing provision, affordability and quality for residents
  • Investigate the potential of savings and efficiencies, including the potential of bringing services back in house
  • Managing the day-to-day housing functions of teams responsible for; housing regeneration, refugee resettlement, housing strategy and commissioning

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) working in housing management, preferably within a local government setting
  • Demonstrable experience in leading transformational projects or programs, including project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership working with housing associations, developers, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Track record of successfully managing budgets, resources, and delivering results within set timelines.
