Housing Standards Manager
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a local authority in North West England to recruit a Housing Standards Manager, ensuring compliance with legislation and improving housing conditions.
Title: Housing Standards Manager
Location: Merseyside UK
Type: Contract for 6 months initially
Salary: Up to £55/day
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Housing Standards services, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with statutory duties.
- Oversee programme management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Represent the organization on regional housing standards issues and investment opportunities.
- Lead strategic projects to address housing challenges and optimize housing stock usage.
- Engage with partners to secure resources and deliver investment programs.
- Provide expert advice and support on housing standards to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement information systems for performance monitoring.
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring staff are supported and developed.
Requirements:
- Relevant housing, environmental health, or building qualification.
- Thorough understanding of housing legislation and regeneration issues.
- Extensive experience in private sector housing regeneration and management.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in managing complex enforcement actions and budgets.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, Housing Regeneration, or related discipline.
- Management qualification or training.
