Hours: To be discussed with Hiring Manager

Here at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and supportive team within Care & Support as Housing Project Worker

Lime Grove Walk, part of our Young Persons Services, provides an intensive housing management service to 4 young people who are residing in their own accommodation. You will ensure the tenants sustain their tenancy with us until they have moved on.

You can walk away each day knowing you are helping them build the foundations for a bright future. Everyone deserves that don’t you think?

Great Services, Support and Advice is the key…

As a proactive person you will take the initiative to help tenants with their housing benefit application or sign-posting them to an agency to help with on-going needs such as health, substance misuse, education employment and training. You will also assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for tenants and staff and maintain appropriate records, comply with current infection control policies and procedures and complete relevant H&S training.

In addition to the above, you will use your compassionate nature to support them to feel valued and to avoid ASB issues within the scheme and ensure health and safety regulations and practices are monitored.

As we all know record keeping is key so you will be expected to use your functional IT skills to update tenancy records and support plans. You will also support with repairs reporting and other tenancy management issues.

More Homes, Everyone deserves a home…

You will use your can-do attitude and persuasion skills to encourage the tenants integrate into society and eventually be ready to move on. This means you’ll frequently be liaising with other choice based letting schemes or landlords to ensure realistic move-on and move-in options for tenants. The wealth of knowledge you have of housing will shine here!

What we require

We are looking for someone who is friendly, empathetic and supportive. You will have knowledge of the benefits system and have an essential understanding of IT systems.

Looking for a work life balance?

The service runs Monday to Friday. You will have the opportunity to discuss the working days and hours with your line manager.
