Established in 2015, located in Barnet, we are a small practice with one principal solicitor and one paralegal. We are friendly, supportive and hardworking. We deal with Civil Litigation, Landlord and Tenant matters, Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorneys, and Commercial Leases.

Your Role

You will be conducting predominately Landlord and Tenant matters, however experience in any other area as listed above will be advantageous.

Your Duties

Your day to day duties will include:

  • managing a case-load of housing matters to include Disrepair, Evictions, and Leasehold Disputes matters.
  • meeting financial and billing targets.
  • undertaking own typing and administration.
  • providing administrative support
  • drafting documents, bundles, witness statements, statement of costs etc.
  • briefing and corresponding with Counsel.
  • undertaking legal research.
  • undertaking financial due diligence by ensuring billing ledgers are up to date.
  • dealing with new enquiries promptly both via the telephone and face to face.
  • providing clients with a dedicated and professional service in line with the firm’s client care standards.
  • undertaking file maintenance including filing and the opening/closing of client files.
  • undertaking relevant training as required.
  • maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
  • staying up to date with changes in property law to ensure compliance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Housing Litigation caseworker/solicitor should have:

  • Extensive experience in dealing with Property and Housing Litigation matters
  • An ability to manage a diverse case-load and meet deadlines
  • A proactive case management approach
  • A degree in law or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.
  • Knowledge of legal software (Clio) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A Knowledge of Wills and probate, commercial leases is a strong advantage.
  • The ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business
