Salary: Up to £55 umbrella per hour dependent upon experience

Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team are in partnership with a Local Authority based in the South East of England in their search for a Remote Working Housing Litigation Lawyer

The role of Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer is offered for an initial 3 month period with the probability for an extension with the intension being for a long term Locum contract.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Housing Litigation cases within the Local Government Sector.

Duties shall include:

1. Housing Possession Work: responsible for handling housing management cases, including injunction applications, possession proceedings, landlord and tenant issues and gas safety work. The role involves drafting legal documents, attending court hearings, and providing expert legal advice.
2. Housing Disrepairs: Provide succinct legal advice and assistance on a range of disrepair issues affecting residential properties and handling of disrepair cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
