Housekeeping Team Leader (Days) - Private Hospital - Central London - £28k + excellent benefits

This is an opportunity for a Housekeeping Team Leader (Days) to join a private leading Hospital in central London. This is a stunning hospital used by VIPs, High profile people and well known for its high standards of care and ability to ensure the privacy and care required by such people and patients. As a Housekeeping Team Leader at this top private Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout. Your leadership and expertise will ensure that our housekeeping team delivers top-quality cleaning and sanitation services to create a comfortable and safe environment for our patients and staff.

SALARY ETC:

  • £28,000 + excellent benefits
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Central London
  • Start: ASAP
  • Hours of work: 37.5 per week, Monday - Sunday, working 5 out of 7 on a rota basis.
  • Shifts pattern is 11:00am to 7:30pm (weekends may differ as they tend to be 8am to 4:30pm)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must have full right to work in the UK
  • To have worked in a similar role as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Team Leader, within a Hospital / Care Home or Hotel
  • To have knowledge or understanding of infection control / COSHH / Health and safety
  • Well presented and to have a cheerful and positive disposition
  • Able to work a variety of shifts on a rota basis, working 5 out of 7 days
  • To have good team skills, able to motviate and lead with a positive and friendly demeanor
  • To be confidential in regards to the identity of patients and guests
  • Must be IT literate, able to use systems for reporting etc.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Lead, supervise, and inspire a team of housekeeping staff to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Checking cleanliness of hospital and outpatients
  • Issue uniforms to new members of staff
  • Schedule and manage shifts to ensure appropriate coverage for daily operations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Oversee and participate in cleaning tasks, such as disinfection of high-touch surfaces, waste removal, and laundry services.
  • Ensure all areas are inspected and meet our established cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including ordering and storage.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in cleaning procedures.
  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service among housekeeping staff and address patient and visitor concerns in a professional and timely manner.
