Housekeeper

Join the Housekeeping team as a Housekeeper be part of creating a clean and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people as they go through their recovery journey.

You’ll be joining a brand-new service, Castleholme Lodge in Huddersfield, where you will be part of an environment which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, with career opportunities that can see your career grow in a number of different directions.

You will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including all communal areas, office spaces, service user bedrooms and visitors’ area. 

Working as part of the housekeeping team, you will follow and promote Elysium's cleanliness standards to maintain the safety of service users, staff and visitors at all times. It’s a rewarding role where you’ll be contributing to the lives of people in need.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Carrying out housekeeping operations duties aligned to procedures.
• Using all chemical and machinery safely, and aligned to instructions, policies and regulations.
• Clean all areas of the service using the appropriate cleaning equipment. 
• Operate a documented and auditable housekeeping programme.
• Ensure that all housekeeping tasks are delivered around the needs of service users
  

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
• Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done.
• Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
• Be a good communicator.
• Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Where you will be working

Location: Castleholme Lodge, 4 Bryan Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD2 2AH.

Castleholme Lodge is situated in Huddersfield with excellent transport links to the surrounding areas. It is undergoing a complete refurbishment to ensure best environment for service users and staff to thrive in.

Castleholme Lodge will be a 20 bed Care Home with nursing, providing a range of mental health services for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. It will form part of a cluster of Elysium services across the Yorkshire and Midlands region that work closely together in support of each other.
