Are you an experienced and passionate HLTA who wants to make a difference in the lives of children? This school is a proud member of a well-established and supportive Multi-Academy Trust. The school is a 1.5 form entry primary school with more than 300 pupils aged 3-11. The team at this primary school fosters a strong ethos of inclusion and encourages all of their children to be confident and independent learners, caring for themselves as well as others around them. They set themselves high standards of respect, resilience and achievement.


As a HLTA, you will work under the direction of a teacher to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities with individual pupils, groups and whole classes. In a typical working week, you would cover PPA, Leadership Time and times when staff may be needed to attend safeguarding/SEND meetings. You will also assess, record and report on pupils' progress and development. You will have the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest and expertise within the curriculum and to share good practice with your colleagues. You will also provide pastoral support and guidance to pupils and their families.


This role would suit a person who enjoys working across the year groups and would be ideal for an ECT looking to build experience in a supportive environment with room to progress.


To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with primary aged children in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • A passion for education and a desire to help children achieve their full potential
