HLTA/Assistant SENCO

? As an Assistant SENCO, you will work closely with the SENCO to ensure the provision of high-quality support and interventions for students with SEN, fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' learning and well-being
  • Conducting assessments and monitoring progress of students with SEN
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on SEN best practices and strategies
  • Contributing to the review and refinement of school policies and procedures related to SEN provision

? Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting
  • Sound understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
