History Teacher
Colmore Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) History Teacher to join a school in Walsall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring differentiation and inclusion.
- Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and promotes independent thinking.
- Assess student progress effectively through various formative and summative assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
- Establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians, maintaining open communication channels to support student success.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and educational staff to develop and implement curriculum enhancements, instructional strategies, and intervention programs.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of educational best practices, pedagogical approaches, and subject-specific advancements.
Qualifications:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching within a similar role, preferably within the UK education system.
- Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality.
