History Teacher job in Redditch, Birmingham, £140-£200, long-term supply

This well-established secondary school in Redditch is looking for a History Teacher to join the Department. Receiving an "OUTSTANDING" in their last OFSTED report, teachers at this school are committed to providing the best standard of teaching. The school has been recognised for creating a calm and focused lesson environment and, as a result, student engagement and attitudes are excellent.

Your new role
As this is a long-term role, you will be required to:

  • Plan and prepare History lessons for pupils in KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 dependent on experience)
  • Complete the marking and assessment of pupils' work, along with being involved with facility and department meetings.
  • You will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades.
  • Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students' attainment and behaviour.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status
  • Experience of teaching history within a secondary school is essential. ECT's with placement experience will be considered.
  • You will possess excellent behaviour management skills.
  • You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice.
  • You will be available to start asap and continue on a long-term basis.
