About the role

In this high-profile role, we’re looking for someone who can work alongside local businesses, authorities, and key stakeholders to actively promote Hinckley town centre as a popular and thriving destination.

As the new manager, you will be the public face of Hinckley’s Business Improvement District (BID), which is formed and funded by local businesses to increase footfall. A key part of this role will see you working to drive more visitors to the town, which will include overseeing many of the town’s popular events. The BID has hosted many record-breaking events in recent years, including the Annual Motorshow and popular Soap Box Derby.

Hinckley BID launched in 2009 with a 5-year vision to increase visitors to the town centre, while also encouraging local businesses to thrive and grow. The BID has since been voted in for a fourth 5-year term, which begins on May 1st, 2024. We are looking for someone who can play a key role in delivering the next 5-year plan. As part of this, you will need to report to the Hinckley Town Centre Partnership Ltd board at monthly meetings.

Our perfect candidate will also be able to work alongside a small team to maintain current good relationships with businesses and shareholders in the town. You will be working with a budget of around £200,000 per year, which can be used to fund initiatives to drive visitors and shoppers to the town.

Individual successes will need to be proven and documented.
