Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

  • Job Type: Daily supply, short term, long term

Join our dedicated team of professionals in local schools in Croydon and Sutton as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to helping students with learning disabilities or special needs. Our team believes in the power of education and the beauty of learning.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Lead small group instruction and provide support to individual students as needed
  • Help to manage the classroom environment and promote positive behaviour
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities as needed
  • Attend meetings and contribute to the planning and evaluation of the school’s curriculum

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
  • Experience working in a classroom setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Valid teaching certification is preferred, but not required
