Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: South East London

Job Type: Full-time

Reed Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated team within a reputable school in South East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to support the learning and development of students in a secondary school environment.

Day to day of the role:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of comprehensive lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide tailored academic support to students, either individually or in small groups, to enhance their learning experience.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour, maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification.
  • Proven experience in a secondary school setting, demonstrating a strong track record of supporting student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • A self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team, showing initiative and dedication to the role.
