HGV2 Night Driver

Newstaff Employment Services is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV2 Night Driver for one of our esteemed clients based in Hemel Hempstead. This temporary role is available for immediate start, perfect for individuals who are ready to hit the ground running in a dynamic driving position.

Role Summary: As an HGV2 Night Driver, you will be responsible for making timely deliveries to stores across the region. You won’t be doing it alone; you’ll have the assistance of a driver’s mate to ensure smooth operations throughout your shift.

Key Details:

• Location: Hemel Hempstead
• Hours of Work: Starting at 18:00 each evening until finish, typically lasting an 8 or 9-hour shift.
• Salary: £17 per hour (Paye)
• Contract Type: Temporary, starting immediately

Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of an HGV2 lorry during night shifts.
• Delivery of goods to various store locations.
• Work closely with a driver’s mate to load, unload, and ensure the correct delivery of items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all transportation laws and regulations.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and that any maintenance issues are reported promptly.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV2 driving license.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and efficient operations.
