HGV Trainee Pump Engineer (HGV Class 2)
Location: Bedford
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (Negotiable on experience) P/A + Package
Hours: Full Time / Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Trainee Pump Service engineer who holds their Class 2 as a minimum to join a National Pump Service & Maintenance company based in Bedford. The main purpose of this role will involve assisting the Pump Engineering, learning about the trade, resolving mechanical problems, and you will also be involved in the product lifecycle.

This is a PAYE opportunity on a full time permanent basis. They also offer extensive training with an opportunity to obtain certifications through the company, as well as working with a sociable team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Pump Engineer with all duties
  • Report back to office with updates
  • Operate one of the company’s tankers
  • Carry out emergency works and tankering services.

The Person

  • Hold a Class 2/Cat C license as a minimum
  • A hardworking individual with a willingness to learn.
  • Someone who wants to get stuck in and progress within the company.
  • Pump knowledge desirable


The Company 
They have been in the repair, service and sales of pumps, motors, fan units and associated equipment for over 30 years. They undertake complete project managing, station design, equipment selection and programming, including any civil engineering needs.

Their engineers are fully trained with confined space procedures and all relevant health and safety issues and have many years of experience.
