Funky Flamingo is the UK's fastest growing recruitment agency, specialising in the supply of HGV Technicians and professional driving staff.

We are now looking for experienced day shift HGV Technicians to work on a permanent basis with our busy and friendly client based in Ilford, Greater London.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Class 2, 7.5 Tonne and 3.5 Tonne vehicles. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

Shifts and Hours:

- Monday to Friday
- 06.30 to 15.30

Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues
- Order parts and materials as needed for repairs
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Skills:

- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicles
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions and brakes

Qualifications:

- City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics OR qualified by experience
