HGV Shunter Driver

Job Title: Class 1 Shunter Driver

Location: Widnes

Salary: £36,500 plus Guaranteed Overtime each week paid at 1.5

Aspion are seeking a Class 1 Shunter Driver for our reputable client based in the Widnes area for a permanent position.

This role will involve rotating shifts with standard hours of 40 plus 7 – 14 hours guaranteed overtime per week.

• Shift Pattern: Days and nights rotating weekly shifts/averaging 8-15 hours

• Hours: From 06:00 Starts and 23:00 Starts

Duties:

• Shunting between 3 sites

• To carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks prior to commencement of shift complying with appropriate documentation and procedures

• Ensure vehicle load is safe, secure and correctly positioned

• Correctly check and accept load documentation and delivery paperwork

• Correctly check in any returned goods and ensure paperwork is accurate

• Operate vehicle safely, ensuring driver actions do not endanger self or other road users

Ideal candidate:  

• Self-motivated individual

• Dedicated flexible and reliable

• Full HGV Class 1 license entitlement
