Requirements:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualified technician or equivalent experience
  • Experience with MAN trucks and ManCats diagnostics preferred but not essential
  • Valid driving license essential; HGV Class 2 License preferred but not essential
  • CSCS Card required 
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Proven experience working on and repairing HGVs
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Proactive, innovative, and creative approach towards problem-solving
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills at all levels

Desirable requirements:

  • HGV licence
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements

 Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vehicles and conduct inspections to MOT standard
  • Undertake general repairs and offsite breakdowns of our fleet of vehicles
  • Carry out diagnostic tests on vehicles
  • Perform periodic safety inspections to VOSA standards
  • Complete all paperwork required for the role in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with all colleagues
  • Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping
  • Uphold excellent Health and Safety standards

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday – Friday 8-5pm + some overtime opportunities, Saturday 8-12 (overtime), 
  • Salary dependent on experience, and negotiable
