HGV MECHANIC

WORKING DAYS BETWEEEN MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 - 18.00

£16.00 - £18.00 PER HOUR PAYE DOE

People Solutions are looking for a HGV Mechanic for our Client based in Rushden.

Day to Day Duties

• Vehicle maintenance including servicing, inspections and defect repairs
• MOT preparations
• Any other work that is requested by the workshop foreman and workshop manager
• Delivering the highest quality of workmanship

Essential Skills

• Qualified in a mechanical discipline
• Hydraulics experience
• Roadside breakdown experience
• Strong understanding of MOT standards and legal compliance
• Knowledge of 6 weekly service inspections and legal compliance to VOSA standards
• Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician (as a minimum) or equivalent
• Preferred Irtec Qualification
• Knowledge of Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems – Maintenance / repair

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience gained within a similar role
• Experience working on heavy goods vehicles
• Diagnostics equipment experience or the willingness to learn
• Valid UK Category CE Licence, CPC & Digi Card

Training

Full ongoing training is provided starting from day one.
