Location -Lambeth, SE24
Salary - up to - £40,000 per annum
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an HGV Mechanic to join our client’s workshop team in Lambeth. Working in a friendly and professional team, you will provide essential maintenance within this commercial vehicle workshop environment.

About Our client:
Our client provides a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of local authorities. They are experts in designing, implementing, and managing waste and recycling services, with a capability spanning collection, treatment, processing, and disposal.
Our client is dedicated to the ongoing development and progression of our mechanic teams, with outstanding training along opportunities to undertake additional qualifications, including OEM training, HGV Driver training and Irtec accreditation.
About you:
- First and foremost, you’ll need to be an experienced and fully qualified mechanic - preferably with HGV mechanic experience or be willing to undertake additional training to upskill.
- The ability to carry out general chassis service work, and where possible, full industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
- You should be able to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, and general welding skills would be advantageous.
Skills and experience:
Essential
- Electrical Fault-Finding experience
- Hydraulic repair experience
- Experience in maintenance of fleet vehicles.
- Good communication skills
- Be able to undertake all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
Desirable:
- Full industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair)
- LGV Licence
- Chassis work
- Good written skills (to complete inspection/defect paperwork)
