We are looking for an HGV HIAB driver to join our group of drivers on a temporary ongoing basis. The ideal candidate would be expected to operate out of multiple branches and locations if necessary.

MAIN DUTIES

  • To undertake the safe, secure and efficient movement of materials and equipment required for the business.
  • Performing deliveries and collections to and from the customer sites, and other locations as required.
  • Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public and other road users.
  • Check equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that the total load does not exceed vehicle weight limits.
  • Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle.
  • Check paperwork to ensure delivery/collection loads are correct.
  • Ensure that all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for.
  • Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded.
  • Follow all Health and Safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ALLMI HIAB Licence or alternatively a different accredited HIAB licence and valid CSCS card is essential or this role.
  • Holds a full driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on Licence.
  • Holds a HGV Driving Licence.
  • Holds a valid CPC Licence.
  • Holds a valid Digi Taco Card.
  • Good personal presentation.
  • Able to carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Candidate would be expected to drive any vehicle from 3.5T to 26 ton for the needs of the business.
  • Carry out all other reasonable tasks for the needs of the business.
  • Minimum of 6 months commercial HIAB experience is essential.

Working hours

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Must be flexible with day or night shifts.
  • Occasional Saturday may be required.
