HGV Class 2 Moffett Drivers Required

Position: Class 2 Moffett Driver (HGV 2 Moffett Driver)

Our client in Colnbrook is looking for Class 2 Moffett drivers with a Moffett certificate to carry out deliveries to construction sites around the Heathrow area. 

Salary: £17.00 an hour with weekend work available at a pay rate of up to £25.50 an hour. 

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Sunday

Job Description:

As a Class 2 / HGV 2 Moffett driver, you will play a crucial role in our clients operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods across various destinations. Your responsibilities will include:

Driving Expertise: Operating a HGV Class 2 vehicle with a Moffett attachment, while holding the required licenses. 

Route Planning: Planning and executing delivery routes with precision to meet schedules and deadlines.

Load and Unloading Management: Safely loading and unloading goods using the Moffett attachment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.

Compliance: Adhering to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and reporting any issues promptly.

Safety: Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries to various locations. 

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Hold a valid HGV Class 2 driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Hold a Moffett certification (essential for this position).
  • Hold a valid CPC and Digi tachograph card.
  • Previous experience as a Moffett Driver. 
  • Working knowledge of Driver legislation and laws. 
  • Five-year checkable work history
  • Clean and Valid DBS Check (dated within 10 weeks) 
  • No more than 6 points on the licence (for insurance purposes)
