Class 1 Driver

Vanta Staffing Reading are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to work for our client based in the Thatcham area. This will involve local deliveries or trunking work, a perfect role for drivers who want consistent work with a prestigious company.

Requirements of a Class 1 Driver:

  • Minimum 18 months HGV driving (Cat C+E) recent experience would be ideal, however newly passed drivers will be required to be assessed.
  • Be able to complete trunk runs to hub or 2-3 local drops
  • Have a valid CPC and digi tacho
  • No more than 6 points (No DR or IN)

Details:

  • Salary: £18ph - Days / £20ph - Nights
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (06.00 – 07.00am start) – Days or (19.00 start) - Nights
  • Location: Thatcham
  • Duration: Ongoing work

Role of a Class 1 Driver:

  • Complete trunking runs; trailer swapping will be involved
  • Complete 2-3 local deliveries
  • Complete vehicle checks
  • Being flexible and able to complete runs safely
