Health and Safety / Fleet Admin Officer

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 15 hours per week (two 7.5 days or 3 5-hour days)

Salary: £13.50ph

We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established Wholesale company. We are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Birmingham for an experienced H&S Fleet Admin Officer.

Health and Safety

  • Co-ordinate weekly H&S checks with Branch Managers
  • Following up on any maintenance issues / repair works
  • Obtaining quotes and arranging repairs
  • Issuing uniform and PPE
  • Making sure First aid equipment is in branch
  • Organising fire and first aid training is in place 
  • Completing Risk Assessments
  • (this may require occasional travel to other branches)
  • Recording accidents and reporting to HSE
  • Keeping H&S policies up to date and available online and in branch
  • Arranging H&S training

Fleet Management

  • Co-ordinating MOTs
  • Liaising with Insurance provider for any potential issue or risk
  • Lone worker risk assessments
  • Ensuring van checks are being carried out
  • Completing drivers checks

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • IT Skills including Microsoft word and excel
  • Accurate data entry
  • Able to prioritise a busy and varied work load
  • Teamwork and personal resilience
  • Attention to detail
