This is a very exciting and progressive opportunity for an experienced Healthand Safety Manager looking to progress within a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in the UK. This is an multisite role based out of Alfreton, Derbyshire, and other sites across the UK. It is a Monday to Friday position.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
  • The Healthand Safety Manager will be in charge of any Health and Safety issues within the organisation.
  • Analyse incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • You will ensure that all implementation of health, safety, environment and quality policies and procedures are delivered and adhered to.
  • Keeping up to date with best practise, industry SHEQ procedures.
  • Being the face of the company for any Health and Safety visits with all communication and reporting
  • Being proactive with any health and safety issues rather than any reactive requirements on or offsite.
  • Auditing
 The Health and Safety Manager will need to have: 
  • Experience as a SHEQ Manager OR Health and Safety Manager
  • Health and Safety Degree (Level 4 or 5 Qualified)
  • NEBOSH
  • Experience working on an Upper tier COMAH Site
  • HazOp
