Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Our client, a leading organisation based near Cannock, Staffordshire, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Administrator to join their team. With a strong emphasis on employee well-being and compliance with health and safety regulations, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within the organisation.
Job Description: As a Health and Safety Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective health and safety procedures across the organisation. This office-based role will require you to work closely with HR manager and employees to identify potential hazards, develop safety policies, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety matters.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver health and safety training programs to employees as required.
  • Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a health and safety role, preferably in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred but not essential.
