Health and Beauty Product Designer Job in Christchurch (12-Month Contract)

Dovetail Recruitment are very pleased to be working with a thriving client based in Christchurch who has an exciting new opportunity for a Health and Beauty Product Designer to join their team! You’ll be working in a vibrant, fast-paced office environment alongside key stakeholders in the business including Account Managers, Product Developers and Technical Managers to deliver creative projects for a wide range of clients.

This position provides an incredible opportunity to solidify your creative skillset and work with a huge range of health and beauty products held in the UK’s most well-established and longest-standing grocers and retailers.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Health and Beauty Product Designer:

• Take ownership of projects from idea conception to artwork delivery under the guidance of the Design Manager.
• Making visual mock-ups of new packaging designs, both digitally and physically.
• Assist the Product Development Managers with artwork approvals, to ensure accurate, consistent and well-designed products are delivered on time.
• Creating designs and style guides for use with packaging, and products.
• Artworking designs and preparing files to send to printers/suppliers.
• Working closely with the Design Manager to manage and maintain workflows on a daily basis to ensure a smooth running of the team and category.
• Design presentations for internal teams and new business pitches
• Attend internal meetings and contribute where necessary.
• Adhere to the deadlines and briefs set out by the Product Development Team.
• Maintain brand consistency across all brands with the ability to translate across events and experiences.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with packaging design or designing print
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Able to work towards branding guidelines and style guides
• Driving licence

This Health and Beauty Product Designer job in Christchurch would suit candidates who have some experience working as a Graphic Designer, ideally within a product-based industry.
