£85,000 per annum + £5000 Welcome Bonus

REQUIREMENTS
It is essential that all applicants must:
Have previous experience as a Headteacher in a specialist school.
Have a strong track record of good or outstanding Ofsted inspection ratings.
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

It would be desirable that applicants:
Have completed their NPQH.
Have experience turning around a school's Ofsted rating.

THE ROLE
Compass Associates have partnered with a leading provider of specialist schools and children's care services to find a Headteacher for their Leeds-based school for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and autism. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to lead a strong staff team, effectively manage the school's finances and referrals, and enable the best possible outcomes for pupils.

The Head of School will receive significant backing and support from the hiring organisation; they will report in to the Regional Director , and shepherd the school through a turnaround period.

THE CANDIDATE
The employer is seeking applicants who are experienced Headteachers/Principals in the specialist sector who have a firm grasp of the current Ofsted framework, accompanied by a history of good or outstanding ratings as the school is rated requires improvement, so a turnaround is needed. As a seasoned leader in the specialist education sector, you will have developed a deep and nuanced understanding of special educational needs - particularly of autism and SEMH needs.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
Two stages:
A formal Teams interview consisting of a presentation.
An informal interview with the Managing Director.
