We are excited to announce the opportunity for an experienced Headteacher to lead the creation, opening, and running of a new SEND Secondary School set to open in the summer term of 2025 in Horsham, West Sussex. This role is a unique career opportunity to make a significant impact on our growing services and to shape the future of special education within the area.
Day to Day of the role:- Play a key role in the redevelopment of the school building, ensuring it meets independent school standards and provides an amazing learning environment.
- Be accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the School, as well as its financial performance.
- Manage the recruitment and building of your entire team.
- Design and implement a brand-new curriculum aligned with our values.
- Lead a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve their full potential in a calm and nurturing environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status with further professional qualification in a relevant area.
- Candidates with Headteacher qualification (such as NPQH) or a willingness to gain such a qualification preferred.
- Experience as a senior leader within an SEN environment.
- A clear understanding of Ofsted frameworks and Safeguarding legislation in relation to independent schools.
- Quality assurance experience.
- Team management experience.
- Superb communication and stakeholder management skills.
